Bonjour Friday!
Hello sweet family and friends!
How are you?
I have big news! My hubby is retiring on Halloween Day. Both of us were eligible for full retirement months ago . . . but . . . we chose to make our big move in our favorite season. The holidays are going to be so much fun without the cloud of back to work the day after looming over our heads. Today, the first gifts for the Grands arrived on the front porch.
Since October 1st, I have been focused on moving more, eating healthier, decorating for Fall, and following little plan of self-care. I have dropped a few pounds. I have to stay on track until April to meet my goal.
I have also been pretty focused on the needs of my parents. Mom turned 89 in August and Dad will be 89 next month. I am a very blessed girl to be at retirement age and still have my Mom and Dad nearby.
I have been able to spend a few Wednesdays with Chrislyn and the littles. I stay until the bigs get off the school bus. She is one busy Mama of four. Her mother in law and I are now available to watch the littles a couple of times a month so she can volunteer in the classroom. She is carrying on the tradition of art docent.
There have been a few inquiries about the graphics I post almost daily, on Instagram. As you can tell by my Instagram feed, I love making them.
The graphics and collages are a combination of several apps on my iPhone.
For years, I only used PicMonkey on my laptop. (PicMonkey has a small yearly fee.) I downloaded it on my phone about a year and a half ago. At the same time, I downloaded a cute little free photo editing and enhancing app called a A Beautiful Mess. I still love to play with Waterlogue.
Most of my editing and graphic making happens on my phone.
In my search for a user-friendly approach to graphic display, I found an app on my phone called Over. Over not only has templates to play with, it gives you access to thousands of royalty free graphic designs and images to style as you wish. There is a week-long fee trial period, after which you may, or may not agree to a modest monthly or yearly fee. If you go with the yearly, it saves about 30 dollars.
My FBoF feature of the week is the news of the release of Angela’s new book!
It’s going to be a perfect companion for my French Bread Life in 2019.
My project for the week ahead is restyling my funky chandelier! I have not changed it for eight months. There is too much precious clipped onto it.
Wishing you a best-blessed week!
’til next Friday!

I’ve been loving your graphics so I’m glad you did this post. So are you using multiple apps for each image? You are creating art!
I know you are so excited about this new stage in life. It’s inspiring to me that you are doing positive things to prepare. Keep sharing. I enjoy reading about it. 😉
