At the recommendation of my ophthalmologist, I purchase a new mascara approximately every three months. I have worn Lancôme Définicils for nearly 40 years. I have tried others . . . I always return Définicils for my sensitive blue eyes.
For years I would purchase a tube in July near Bastille Day when they held a promotional event called “French Bread”. At that time the Lancôme counter at Nordstrom was filled with fresh baguettes from Le Panier, a French Bakery in the Seattle Pike Place Market community. With a 15.50 purchase, you would receive a Lancôme signature black tote bag with five or six gifties inside and a baguette. This yearly experience likely added to my affinity for a French Bread life.
A year ago July, I had individual lashes applied for Jay and Camille’s wedding. When they fell off, my own lashes seemed thinner.
I have used doTERRA essential oils for about three years. My first purchase was Lavender. I bought it to refresh my lavender pillows and sachets, wear on my pulse points at work, and diffuse for a restful sleep.
On Pinterest, I read . . . “placing one drop of Lavender essential oil in a new mascara helps promote healthy lash growth”. I was skeptical . . . I waited . . . and waited. In June, I took the plunge, and added the drop to my new Définicils. It has been good for my lashes and better yet, the everyday application may have very well relieved a minor complication from my cataract surgery two years ago.
This morning, I decided to make a graphic to share this lovely little slice of my French bread life.
( So very French is my petite mix of Lavender and Lancôme! )
You all know how I love to romance everyday experiences. When I am in the kitchen mixing and blending essential oils, I am drawn to the movie, “Practical Magic”! I was obsessed with Sally’s apothecary shop in that movie. In a way . . . I now have my own apothecary. I call this little hobby and practice FANCIFUL BOTANICALS.
I’ll bring FANCIFUL BOTANICALS to Friday when they sing something French to me. Call me silly, but I play French cooking music on Pandora when I’m mixing.
I use doTERRA as they clearly state how to use their essential oils. Read the instructions carefully.
‘Til next Friday!
